Our Desperate Need-God’s Perfect Provision

Mark 14:53- 72

1. Peter’s trial teaches us how desperately we need the Gospel

Luke 22:60-62

We need the Gospel because We tend to thrust ourselves into temptation.

We need the Gospel because Sin doesn’t usually stop with the first step.

We need the Gospel because Sin is incredibly deceitful.

Heb 3:12 -13; Matthew 12:34

We need the Gospel because we have a tendency to pride and self-sufficiency.

Psalm 32:1-5

2. Jesus’ trial teaches us how perfectly God has provided for our rescue.

In silence, Jesus declares himself the Messiah

John 2:19; Jeremiah 26:2-19; Isaiah 53:7

In his response Jesus declares himself to be Messiah and the coming Judge
