Sermon Outline

Raising Godly Sons
Gen 1-3; Deuteronomy 6; Colossians 3:18-21

(1) Begin with the fear of the Lord.

(2) Know God's commandments thoroughly.

(3) Develop a multigenerational view of spiritual protection and prosperity.

(4) Hear and obey.

(5) Make loving God with all your heart your highest end.

(6) Cherish the commands of God in your own life.

(7) Teach by consistent repetition, in everyday life situations, and by physical reminders.

(8) Develop a disposition of constant vigilance, especially in prosperity and adversity.

(9) Seize teachable moments when your son's heart is open.

(10) Saturate your son in the history of God's faithfulness.
