The Wisdom of God
Daniel 2:1-23
1. Wisdom apart from God is empty and useless (1-16)
1.1 Wisdom apart from God ignores the complexity of lifes questions
1.2 Wisdom apart from God ignores the deceitfulness of sin
1.3. Wisdom apart from God leads to destructive results
2. God, alone, supplies wisdom for life (17-23)
2.1 Daniel directs his hope and confidence toward God alone
2.2 Daniels hope and confidence are rooted in the character of God
Wisdom and might belong to Him.
God rules over all nature and all kingdoms
God alone is omniscient.
Unlike the false gods, the one true God has come near to dwell with us.
Unlike the empty wisdom of the world, the fullness of all wisdom dwells in Christ.
Wisdom is not a concept, but a relationship.
